ASOIU students undergo an internship program in “AzerGold” CJSC’s ore processing area located in Dashkasan

en students of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University (ASOIU) have started an internship in “AzerGold” CJSC’s ore processing area located in Dashkasan. The students will be actively involved in the work process carried out in Chovdar, during 3 weeks.

Being about 4 students on geology specialization, 4 on mining engineering specialization, 2 on technology of inorganic substances specialization, the youth undertaking the internship, participate more deeply both in general processes and works relevant to their area of study. They learn the processes of exploration of ore processing, planning, evaluation, research, operation, crushing, heap leach, laboratory analyses, absorption and desorption, smelting of auri-argentiferous bullions demonstrably.

The managers of various departments of “AzerGold” CJSC meet with the students and deliver their lectures. The member of Executive Board of the Company – Deputy Chairman Ogtay Mammadov as well has met with the interns in Chovdar, informed them about the company profile and the perspectives of mining industry in detail.

The students have been provided all necessary conditions regarding accommodation, food, work and medical checkup in Chovdar ore processing area. The interns are being taught every detail of the work more thorougly and prepared as the qualified professionals of the future. It is planned to continue to this internship program and monthly invite several students to the program. Some of them can be employed by “AzerGold” CJSC after graduation. 

The mentioned internship program is carried out between the education institution and the Company based on the memorandum of cooperation signed on July 2017. The parties have begun theoretical and practical cooperation with the signed agreement. Teachers and students of ASOIU will make use of the operation support facilities of “AzerGold” CJSC and the university representatives will be provided conditions to do research in exploration areas and mining enterprises.

The Company will benefit from scientific and technical potential of the university and the personnel of the education institution will support  “AzerGold” CJSC in resolving the problems to occur during production process. ASOIU will organize qualification upgrading courses on relevant programs for the CJSC’s staff. Qualified human resources will be prepared in ASOIU based on the Company’s order according to its future needs and certain of alumni will be employed in “AzerGold” CJSC.
