Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Sign Agreement on Joint Development of a Gold Deposit

On June 16, during an official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan at the invitation of the Uzbek side to participate in the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov attended a ceremony for the signing of bilateral documents between the two countries.
Among the signed documents was an agreement involving AzerGold CJSC, providing for the joint development of a gold deposit in Uzbekistan.
The document was signed by Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC, and Feruza Khamidova, First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
