AzerGold CJSC hosted a meeting with the Head of Aleks Metal Refinery of Türkiye

A delegation led by Mr Sarp Tarhanacı, Chairman of the Executive Board of Aleks Metal Refinery of Türkiye, visited Azerbaijan. AzerGold CJSC built a partnership with Aleks Metal Refinery in 2025 to produce gold bullion and retailed gold and silver coins.

During the visit, Mr Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Executive Board of AzerGold CJSC, met with the managers of Aleks Metal Refinery. The meeting was aimed at providing the delegation with information about AzerGold’s operations and developing and discussing collaboration opportunities.

Mr Ibrahimov gave detailed information about AzerGold CJSC, a state-owned mining company that prioritizes environmental protection. He emphasized that exporting gold and silver to global markets contributes to the development of non-oil industry and to the diversification of Azerbaijan’s economy, and highlighted the Company’s success in retailing precious metals. Mr Ibrahimov also noted that since 2019, AzerGold has offered uniquely designed gold coin collections to the local retail market, which serve both as a reliable investment tool and means of promoting the country’s history, art, cultural heritage, and national values.

In his turn, Mr Tarhanacı delivered a presentation on Aleks Metal Refinery’s operations. He noted that the company is engaged in precious metal processing and production activities by applying the latest technology and facilities that are compliant environmentally. Mr Tarhanacı also mentioned about official offices of Aleks Metal Refinery in the US, Singapore, the UAE, and across various European countries. Mr Chairman expressed his satisfaction with the partnership with AzerGold and his intention to discuss new directions for future collaboration.

The meeting was concluded with discussions on the prospects for bilateral collaboration.
