AzerGold CJSC members honour the memory of martyr Rauf Asgarov

The team of AzerGold Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC) visited the grave of their colleague Rauf Asgarov – one of the martyrs of the Patriotic War – at the Alley of Martyrs in Ganja, to commemorate the 5th anniversary of his martyrdom.
They honoured the memory of the deceased, who gave his life for the liberation of our lands, with deep respect and placed flowers on his grave.
As a reserve officer Rauf Asgarov was called to military service on October 6, 2020 and as a First Lieutenant in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan he took part in the battles for the liberation of the Fuzuli and Khojavand regions.
He was martyred on October 26, 2020, in the village of Mardinli of Fuzuli region, and his burial took place on October 28 at the Alley of Martyrs in Ganja.
Before the war, Rauf Asgarov worked at AzerGold CJSC as the chief of the Generator Unit of the Repair-Construction and Energy Department. After his death, he was awarded the medals For the Motherland, For Distinction in Battle, and For the Liberation of Fuzuli by the relevant Decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It should also be noted that eight employees of AzerGold CJSC participated in the Patriotic War, which ended in our Army’s glorious victory. Unfortunately, not only Rauf Asgarov, but also First Lieutenant Mukhtar Gasimli, employee of the Security Service at AzerGold, was martyred on October 2, 2020, during the battles for the liberation of the Fuzuli region.
AzerGold CJSC honours the memories of all martyrs of the Patriotic War and expresses its deep respect and reverence for their heroism.
