AzerGold hosts event dedicated to the World Day for Safety and Health at Work

An event on "Anticipate, prepare and respond to crises – invest now in resilient occupational safety and health systems" was held on April 27 at Chovdar Ore Processing Plant (CFPP) of AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company.
Along with AzerGold CJSC, the representatives of Dashkasan District Executive Power, State Labor Inspection Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and Ganja-Gazakh Regional Branch of the Ministry of Economy took part in the event under the slogan "Investing in sustainable security systems is important".
Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of AzerGold CJSC Ogtay Mammadov provided detailed information about the work done in the field of labor protection and safety. The Deputy Chairman stressed that the protection of employees' health and the provision of a safe working environment are AzerGold’s main priorities.
It was noted that the company is constantly improving its activities in this area, and compliance with the norms and principles of labor protection in the Company has become a key component of daily activities.
During the event, the visitors watched the production process in order to get acquainted with the working conditions in the site, inspected the individual and collective means of protection applied in COPA. The participants were informed that the Company's uninterrupted working hours exceeded 2 million hours in 2016-2020. The participants expressed satisfaction with the sustainable safety rules and favorable working conditions at the mine.
Remarkably, April 28, World Day for Safety and Health at Work was established by the decision of the International Labor Organization in 2003. The purpose of annual celebration in our country and around the world is to draw public attention to the protection of labor in the workplace, the provision of healthy and safe working conditions for workers.
