AzerGold and Baku Higher Oil School sign cooperation memorandum

AzerGold Closed Joint Stock Company and Baku Higher Oil School entered into an agreement on mutual cooperation on March 30.

The agreement was signed by Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Executive Board of AzerGold CJSC and Elmar Gasimov, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School in the event held in a video format. The document entails joint planning and implementation of specialist training concepts in the realm of the study, research, exploration, processing and sale of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, implementation of new technologies. Moreover, the document provides for the involvement of BHOS students in industrial practice, research activities and project work.

Notably, AzerGold closely cooperates with various high schools and scientific organizations operating in Azerbaijan towards strengthening professional staff resources in order to ensure longstanding and sustainable development. Thus far, the Company has signed cooperation memorandums with 7 universities. Besides, according to the memorandum signed with State Agency on Vocational Education, cooperation in the field of vocational training has been launched. 

Moreover, in accordance with agreement made with the universities, the Company arranged an internship program at Chovdar Ore Processing Area for 133 young people studying at vocational-professional institutions. Those who successfully completed their internships in relevant fields were awarded certificates by AzerGold CJSC, and 11 distinguished graduates were provided with permanent jobs.
