Initiated by AzerGold CJSC and supported by the Agricultural Services Agency (ASA) under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the project “Supporting agricultural development in the Dashkasan and Goygol districts” is successfully ongoing. The project's main aim is to foster community cooperation and promote agricultural growth in AzerGold operation areas.

Within the framework of the project, from May to October 2025, ASA specialists, with the participation of employees from the Agency and AzerGold CJSC, conducted agricultural monitoring and organized meetings with local residents in the villages of Chovdar, Chaykend, Gushchu (including the Shadax area), and Bayan of the Dashkasan district, as well as in the villages of Tullalar and Zurnabad of the Goygol district.

Based on the monitoring results, the implementation of preventive measures carried out by the Agency’s Animal Health and Veterinary Services Center was inspected. General clinical examinations were conducted on 140 cattle, 145 small ruminants, and 63 bee colonies. Additionally, 7,293 m³ of territory was disinfected as a preventive measure, and blood samples from 65 animals were collected and analyzed to detect seasonal diseases.

Specialists of the Laboratory Expertise and Certification Center analyzed 51 soil samples, 8 irrigation water samples, and 4 plant samples taken from croplands and pastures.

Within the project, employees of the Plant Protection and Fumigation Center assessed the phytosanitary condition of household farms and conducted monitoring on plants affected by harmful organisms. In total, 366 plant samples were collected from household plots and submitted for laboratory testing. According to the results, diseases and pests were detected in 79 samples. Support was provided to 184 farmers regarding pest control methods and preventive measures.

The Agricultural Training Center of the Agricultural Services Agency conducted 53 surveys among local communities and organized 31 training sessions. Participants received educational brochures and booklets, along with necessary consultations.

The primary objective of the project is to strengthen cooperation with local communities in the regions where AzerGold CJSC operates and to further contribute to the development of agricultural activities for farmers and households.
