Awareness-raising seminar within the Project on Enhancing Women’s Employment in Dashkasan

AzerGold CJSC and the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized a new seminar as part of the Project on Enhancing Women’s Employment in Dashkasan.
The seminar was aimed at supporting the integration of rural women near the Chovdar gold mine into the labour market, raising awareness on employment opportunities, and contributing to the efficient use of local human resources.
The participants at the event were provided with comprehensive information about the active employment programmes offered by the State Employment Agency, including vocational training and self-employment programmes, as well as current vacancies and opportunities for cooperation with employers. In addition, the participants were informed about the social projects implemented by AzerGold CJSC, initiatives of the Company aimed at community development in the region, and efforts for boosting economic well-being of women.
The training also included a Q&A session and detailed information was provided on AzerGold CJSC’s online recruitment system, the test-based selection process for job vacancies, and the services offered by the State Employment Agency. Practical guidance was given to help women benefit from these services.
The Project on Enhancing Women’s Employment in Dashkasan has been implemented since 2023. Consequently, two women who participated in the training and officially applied to the State Employment Agency have been employed in relevant professions. In addition, as part of the self-employment programme four women have been provided with the necessary equipment based on the “Women’s Beauty Salon” package, and seven women have been added to the wait list for the programme.
