AzerGold CJSC hosts meeting with Ambassador of Argentina to Azerbaijan

Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Executive Board of AzerGold CJSC, met with Her Excellency Mariángeles Bellusci, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic.
Mr. Ibrahimov informed Her Excellency on the achievements of AzerGold CJSC, the Company’s strategic plans, and ongoing operations in the mining sector.
The Chairman emphasized that the Company has eliminated its reliance on the state budget for the implementation of gold mining projects.
Preparations for the exploitation of new non-ferrous and ferrous metal deposits are progressing successfully. In terms of export revenues, AzerGold CJSC has strengthened its position in the non-oil and gas sector, making a significant contribution to the diversification of the country’s economy, said the Chairman.
Zakir Ibrahimov also highlighted that these successful achievements resulted from the targeted economic reforms implemented in the country, a provided favourable investment conditions, and sustained state support for the mining industry. The state’s efforts to improve the business environment, stimulate export-oriented sectors, and develop domestic production enhance the operations of AzerGold.
The Chairman noted that AzerGold is interested in cooperation prospects with several countries which are rich in mineral resources, particularly Argentina with its economic potential in Latin America. Studies and potential partnership models in this direction may facilitate the implementation of new projects in the future.
In her turn, Her Excellency Mariangeles Bellusci, highlighting Argentina’s abundant reserves of silver, copper, and lithium, expressed her interest in cooperating with AzerGold CJSC in the exploration and management of existing deposits in her country.
The Ambassador emphasized the importance of establishing cooperation in the mining sector between the two countries, noting that partnership with AzerGold CJSC, which has extensive experience in both geological exploration and mine operations, would be mutually beneficial.
