"AzerGold" CJSC Organizes Another Training and Media Tour for Journalists

As part of the project "Increasing Awareness of Media Representatives in the Mining Industry," "AzerGold" CJSC has organized another training session and media tour for journalists. The event, held within the framework of the 10th anniversary of the Joint Stock Company's operations, was attended by 28 journalists representing the country's leading online media outlets.

On the first day of the event in Ganja, specialists from "AzerGold" CJSC conducted theoretical training sessions covering geological exploration, extraction and processing of mineral resources, sales of precious metals, occupational health and safety, environmental protection, communications, and corporate social responsibility. During the interactive sessions, discussions were held on these topics, and questions from media representatives were answered.

On the second day of the trip, participants first visited the Ganja Autism Center—operating in Ganja through the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the support of "AzerGold" CJSC, and organized by the "Birgə və Sağlam" (Together and Healthy) Public Union—to familiarize themselves with the facility's conditions. The journalists observed the rehabilitation process for children with autism spectrum disorders firsthand.

Afterward, the participants visited newly opened book kiosks in the Dashkasan and Goygol districts, as well as learned about ongoing social projects. They also inspected the modular building of the full secondary school named after Salmikhan Isgandarov, constructed in the Gushchu settlement of Dashkasan district through the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and support of "AzerGold" CJSC.

The trip continued with a media tour to the Chovdar Integrated Regional Processing Area (CIRPA) and the "Chovdar" gold mine located in Chovdar village, Dashkasan district. Media representatives received detailed information about the enterprise's operations, gold extraction and processing procedures, modern technologies applied in production, occupational health and safety, as well as biological reclamation measures carried out at the waste rock dump.

By observing the production areas on-site, journalists gained direct insight into the stages of gold processing, the extraction and refinement of precious metals, and operational activities carried out in compliance with environmental standards and requirements.

As part of the project, pre- and post-training testing was conducted to assess the journalists' level of knowledge in the mining sector.

At the end of the event, certificates were presented to the participants.
