“AzerGold” CJSC receives the representatives of Australian companies

The representatives of Australian mining companies and businessmen from that country  have visited “AzerGold” CJSC within the frame of Azerbaijan-Australia business forum kicked off in Baku on October 18 and met with the management of the Company. Potential cooperation opportunities have been discussed between the parties.

The president of Australian-Azerbaijani Friendship Association, owner of Hammond Legal company John Hammond, manager of “Caravel Minerals” and “Forsys Metals” companies Marcel Hilmer, Executive Director of Australian Finance Group Brett McKeon,       Azerbaijan’s Honorary Consul to Australia Aydan Rzayeva, Chairman of the Executive Board of “AzerGold” CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov and other members of managerial staff and relevant representatives of the Company have attended the meeting.

The parties have generally discussed the mutual cooperation issues – opportunities of “AzerGold” CJSC to benefit from the experience of Australia. During the meeting, guests have paid great attention to Filizchay deposit which is considered as the second largest in Europe and included in top 10 over the world in resource potential terms, and taken interest in work performed in the deposit located in Balakan district.

An initial agreement has been reached between the Company and Australian companies regarding continuation of the meetings, Australia visit of Azerbaijani representatives and demonstrably gaining a familiarity with the mining industry of this country.
