AzerGold CJSC hosts meeting with Ambassador of Sudan to Azerbaijan

Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Executive Board of AzerGold CJSC, met with His Excellency Anas Eltayeb Elgailani Mustafa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Sudan.

Z. Ibrahimov welcomed the guests and introduced the winners of the “Yüksəliş” competition, Aslan Hasanli and Rufat Mammadkhanli, who participated in the meeting within the framework of the Mentorship Program. The Chairman emphasized that the “Yüksəliş” competition, established by the Presidential Decree, plays a crucial role in identifying and developing talented young individuals with strong leadership and management potential in the country. It was noted that this competition provides participants with an opportunity to assess their knowledge and skills, enhance their leadership qualities, and expand their professional networks.

The Chairman of the Board highlighted that, these successful achievements resulted from the targeted economic reforms implemented in the country, a provided favourable investment conditions, and sustained state support for the mining industry. “AzerGold” CJSC has achieved significant accomplishments and gained substantial experience across its operational areas. He also spoke about ongoing efforts to expand international cooperation with mineral-rich countries, stressing that the Central Asian and African regions are of strategic interest to “AzerGold” CJSC.

Ambassador Anas Eltayeb Elgailani Mustafa expressed Sudan’s interest in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan across various fields, particularly in the mining sector. He noted that Sudan possesses rich ore deposits, including gold and copper, and strong export potential. The Ambassador added that the Sudanese government attaches great importance to mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners to ensure the effective development of this potential.
