A two‑month vocational training programme in confectionery and patisserie by AzerGold CJSC has successfully been concluded within the project of Support for the Economic Development of Family Members of Martyrs and War Veterans.

On June 30, the participants were presented Recognition of Non-Formal and Informal Education Certificates by the Education Quality Assurance Agency under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Ganja city hosted the awarding ceremony, attended by Khayyam Farzaliyev – Member of the Executive Board and Deputy Chairman, Chairman of the CSR Committee of AzerGold CJSC, Adil Taghiyev – Deputy Head of Ganja City Executive Power, Vugar Mammadov – Deputy Head of Dashkasan Region Executive Power, Arzu Gojayev – Deputy Head of Goygol Region Executive Power, and representatives from the Ministry of Economy, the New Azerbaijan Party, Honey Cake Studio Culinary Art School, and other public figures.

The ceremony started with a degustation of confectionery prepared by 15 trainees of the programme living in Ganja city, Dashkasan, Goygol, and Samukh regions. The participants at the event tasted the prepared products and were satisfied with results.

The formal part of the event emphasized that this initiative aligns with Azerbaijan’s consistent policy of supporting the families of martyrs and war veterans, that the primary aim is to strengthen the social protection of these vulnerable groups and to promote their economic independence and social engagement. As part of this initiative, partner organizations have already begun taking measures to assist trained women in starting their profession.

The event concluded with awarding certificates to participants who passed the Recognition of Non-Formal and Informal Education examination organized by the Education Quality Assurance Agency, enabling them to begin their professional careers.

Note that families of martyrs and war veterans are the key targets within AzerGold’s Corporate Social Responsibility programmes. A wide range of projects aimed at improving their social well-being are being implemented, including various training programmes, support for entrepreneurship, financial assistance, health campaigns, permanent employment, and other social programmes.
