Another Tree-Planting Campaign Was Held Around the Chovdar Gold Deposit

AzerGold Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC) has held the next tree-planting campaign near the Chovdar gold mine.

50 employees of the Joint-Stock Company participated in the campaign arranged as part of the Green World Solidarity Year to expand the green areas in the region and contribute to the protection of ecological balance. The campaign involved planting 1,000 linden trees suitable for local conditions in a 1 ha area and agrotechnical maintenance. Also, as part of the event, appropriate landscaping was performed in the area.

It should be noted that AzerGold CJSC consistently and systematically contributes to environmental protection, declared one of the priority areas of its activity. To date, the CJSC has planted more than 15,000 trees and shrubs suitable for local conditions near the Chovdar and flank gold mines. Also, numerous initiatives have been implemented in the Dashkasan region to protect rare and endangered plant species and preserve biodiversity. Last year, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources awarded the CJSC in the category ‘The Best Partner for Supporting Environmental Projects as Part of Corporate Social Responsibility.’

The Joint-Stock Company plans to continue the activity in this direction this year.
